# Compatibility of com.webos.service.bluetooth2 on webOS 24+ LG TVs

Hello

I tested the “com.webos.service.bluetooth2” service on an LG TV running webOS 24 and found that it works fine. However, I would like to know if there are any potential issues with using this service in my web service and application.

I understand that webOS TV does not guarantee OSE features, but how can I determine which webOS versions and LG TV models officially support this service, especially for TVs from 2024 onward?

Any insights or documentation references would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @NERGI Thank you for you reply.  
I already asked in the TV Forum but the answer was that they can support only on resources related to webOSTV and not for webOS OSE. There are things documented on webOS OSE and used on webOS TV (like the bluetooth2 service case), how can I get the right guide on those resources ? There is any forum that join both platforms ?

Hi @zakariae.jebroni,

Unfortunately, the answer is no. -- There are no documents or forums for both platforms simultaneously.

While webOS OSE and webOS TV share many base layers, but both platforms have made modifications to parts of the platform core. (e.g., for SoC-specific or product-specific features)

So, although some components behave similarly (like bluetooth2), we develop and maintain them as if they are entirely seperate platforms.

I think reading the TV docs first and then searching for what's missing in the OSE docs is the best approach for now.
