# Documentation for system customization

Hi everyone,

I read a lot about WebOS OSE in the documentation here and find it quite interesting. I have a question regarding adaptions to the system itself. Is there any documentation for system builders on how to adapt the system like UI, turn on or off different features, general system apperance, adding specific system funtions?

This would be quite helpful. For now most of the documentation I found was more regarding general WebOS OSE understanding and documentation for app developers.

Hi Sebastian,

Great to see that you're keen on WebOS OSE! Although the majority of the documentation out there is more geared towards learning about the overall system and application development, there is also some documentation out there on system customization. To customize the UI for adaptation, feature enable/disabling, or inclusion of particular system functions, you may refer to the WebOS OSE customization guide (if published) or search for source code repositories for a particular configuration. You may also find information from community forums or the official WebOS developer website on system-level changes since those require working with modifying system components or settings within the platform build environment. If this is a little lacking, contacting the WebOS community or contributing to their development forum may provide richer resources. Good luck with your project!
