How to force Media Server to scan device

I have new LG TV, up do date WebOS. it has a built-in/integrated media server. I have media files sitting on a usb drive attached to my router. WebOS succeeds in finding the drive BUT only reports the first 3 [of 30] folders. so how to force WebOS media server to either clear its cache so as to rescan the drive OR force it to rescan the drive. I have tried all manner of turning the TV on and off, etc. All online help says to go to settings then app manager but there aint no such app manager on my system.
