Looking for 'telnetd' binary that can run on latest webos / 5.4.268-223.29.okapi.3
by any chance someone can post or point to source/binaries ?

Hi @stormy, welcome to the forum.

It is not the version naming rule of webOS OSE. I think it is for webOS TV.

right, from binary (telnetd) not much relations/care should be given to kernel, it was just given as general idea of target environment..

Is there a place to find/download such (statically linked) binary.
Or what you're saying these environments are not binary compatible so would have to get it from the webos TV side of the house ? :slight_smile:

They provide huge ROM/epk which inside have .PAK, not easy to get that binary..

That's correct. Since webOS OSE and webOS TV are not guaranteed to be compatible with each other, it seems you'll need to find the binary from the webOS TV side. At the moment, the only idea that comes to mind is to try requesting it through the TV Forum. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
